I have never had a problem introducing new cats into my house. And LG isnt really new, its just since he got fixed Dutchy has just been out to get him! And I mean she is just vicious, hissing, snarling, yowling, and beating. He relents, and runs. And now his domain is in the kitchen..at first he was always in a cupboard. now he does come out and sit on the floor, in the windows, and on the countertops. I had to place a small litter box in his cuboard because he wont go into the bedroom or living room where the others are, because he is afraid of Dutchy. None of the other cats have a problem with him. They come into the kitchen all the time and sit with him. Bellie even went after Dutchy yesterday for hissing at him through the gate.

Currently I have been working on reintroducing them. I have placed him in a carrier in the middle of the room. Dutchy is sitting guard by the door. She did some hissing and growling but now she is relaxed but keeping an eye on him. He isnt comfortable, thats obvious..but he seems to be relaxing a little as well.

I have tried placing Dutchy in the carrier and letting him in the living room, but he runs out right into the kitchen. So am I doing this right? I know it will take time. I just hope to someday be able to use my cupboard for food again.. any suggestions would be helpful.
