Aww, the kittens eyes are beginning to open!!!
I have about 5 or 6 layers of green cling-wrap around a flashlight (its dark where mama had them, I use it to see them
) Is this okay as long as I don't shine the light directly on them? Thanks!

Thanks so much!!! I try to be... even though my family thinks I'm insane, because I put a sleeping bag in the room where she had them (we keep her and the babies in a room away from most house traffic by themselves.) I sleep with them during the night, mostly because mom gets so lonely and bored when she's there by herself and the kids are asleep
So I try to at least keep her company
Is that totally weird?

LOL Nope, not unless I am totally weird too because while I don't do the sleeping bag routine (I wouldn't be able to walk the next day sleeping like that!!) I do make certain I sleep in the same room as the nest. I get very little sleep until the little ones are ready to join the normal routines of the house - which is at about 4 to 5 weeks. Needless to say, after being sleep deprived for 4 to 5 weeks, EVERYTHING about me is a little weird. ROFL

I guess I fit in that craziness too. My kids say I talk to our animals way tooooo much. With the babies that are now close to 4 weeks old I still tend to check on them every 2 hours.

Oh, gosh, you guys are so attentive! I work full time, so no one is even home with the animals from 7:30am until 4:30 pm every day! And our Momma cat has her own bedroom at night.

I do check first thing in the morning, just before I leave for work, as soon as I get home (about 5:30pm), and before bed. And of course various other visits at random times to peek, pet, or provide food/water.

I certainly don't find anything wrong with being extremely attentive to your cat.

My kittens eyes are open too, and they wander around. So excessively cute. Today Zero (gray boy) was laying on his back waving his arms and legs. I couldn't figure out if he was just saying, "Look at me! I'm CUTE!" or if he was trying to walk upside down. Such a silly baby!
