Of COURSE you can!! Middle-aged women of my acquaintance have been known to stand in line for the release of the latest, and have it half read the first day. (They're my friends, and I would too, if I didn't insist on waiting for the paperback! ) Frankly I don't think anyone needs to apologize for reading Harry Potter!

Thank you for all the suggestions! I just can't decide, I keep changing my mind on a daily basis! My plan at the moment is to wait til I get them home, call them by a few names, and see which ones they respond to & which ones suit them! Poor things will have an identity crisis by the end of the first week
