Help please!

Hi!
I just got a new kitty from the SPCA yesterday, and I took her to the vet this morning, who said from the basic checkup she did, that she is healthy....however, tonight my mom was reading with her on her lap, and noticed a discharge coming from her genital/anal area....it was very stinky (almost fishy in odour) and orangey-brown....I will be calling the vet tommorrow, but for now, any suggestions of what it may be????

Hi, sounds like she needs to have her anal glands expressed! Usually that is what it smells like Has she been scooting her butt on the ground, too? That and the smell usuall indicates they need to be expressed! Good luck --

I would take her to the vet, it could be either a vaginal infection or like Tigger said, her anal glands need to be expressed.
