Was wondering if your cats leave presents for you (and I don't mean a poop on the brand new rug LOL).. I'n the past I was lead to believe that really only female cats do this. Moss is male and he does it. We have anything from feathers, to elastic bands, to slugs, to leaves...

My cats mostly bring meat, usu. mice, lizards, esp. when my grandson was a baby. I had 2 tomcats who'd bring him dead things, birds & mice, until he was a toddler. Then they'd try to give him injured critters, which was kinda hard to see. Once he was presented with a tiny baby cottontail that I bottle-raised into adulthood. Now the little boy is 9 & has a sibling on the way. I have different cats now, and they keep bringing my daughter (my grandson's mom) lizards & snakes - when they catch one, they follow her voice, mrreowing like mama-kitties; it's so amusing... It sounds like Moss is quite the epicurean, bringing you assorted tasty morsels - I mean, after all, couldn't slugs & leaves translate into escargot & herbs?!

Lex fetches and sometimes will bring his toys to me in the night, because I will wake up with a few toys next to me or at the foot of the bed.

Yeah, and they've placed the odd mouse they've caught right in front of the door... I'm guessing as a gift to me for when I arrive home.

That is the sweetest thing I've heard in a long time. What a sweet baby!

Eppie likes to take her feather mice toys and drop them in one of her water bowls. Don't think she really does that for me, though- I think she thinks she's drowining the evil mouse

Mine do!

I have these "birdie" toys that the girl cats love to beat up & play with. Jess & Dusty will walk around the house with the birds in their mouths making the WEIRDEST noises!!! Mournful wailing, like they are 'warning' us they just brought home dinner???

Most mornings, I will wake up to find the birdies deposited near my bed. Like they brought their 'kill' up to me during the night before settling in with me.

And Snickers, he will beat up & "kill" his catnip sock before depositing it in the bed, just before he snuggles up to me. I'll awaken to my black shag rug all snugged down with me, and find that catnip sock nearby... on my leg, on the pillow, you name it. He puts it near momma then settles in with me.

A warning...we've had cats go in for surgery because they've chewed on scrunchies and hair elastics and swallowed part. Its not a good idea to let them play with it!

My angel kitty Spot used to leave dh a mouse every day. She was a girl kitty, and a barn cat. But dh had a tomcat as a child who would bring treats to the kittens. Until he got too old, and the other cats had to help feed him! LOL! So I guess boys and girls can be generous!

I had a cat that used to bring home snakes. Unfortunately, once she didn't kill it. Ewwww...a live snake inside...

Isabelle likes to bring me hairbands. I don't know how she gets them half the time. They always go missing when I need them, then I'll wake up, and there they are in a nice little pile.

All of Mitts' toys end up in our bed!
I keep finding those chewed up toy mice buried in the blankets....

Although, I bought a stuffed toy elephant for him to kick and bite instead of me and I started sleeping with it. This morning Mitts stole it from me and ran away with it!!!

I was not so nicely nuzzled awake at 6:30am on a Saturday... as I am every day, by Mika having brought me something to play fetch with.

This morning it was a tampon wrapper from the master bath trash

He brings me anything he can pick up and carry. He's been known to go into the laundry hamper and drag out a full size tee shirt... and pull it all the way into the living room tripping over it the whole way. When he did that with my husband's boxers I nearly fell over laughing so hard!
"MIKA, what've you got NOW?" is a frequently used phrase at our house!!! We've become accustomed to generally hiding anything we don't want swallowed or torn up.

He drops these things at my feet and reaches up and lightly taps my leg with his paw to say "okay mommy, throw it!".

What a lovely story, Moss also brings me things and punches the back of my leg to play. He also does that when you walk out the kitchen and haven't fed him!! He tries to block you in the kitchen and then punches you when you try to pass!! Very funny.
