well as most of you know i have had a rough time with my cornish rex's , from before i even got them ,i had a hard time gettin the breeder to send them , then when i finally got them they were sick so i took them to the vet and went through a big ordeal for the past month with them, well yesterday i got the resultes to my kittens blood work, and they tested positive for feline herpes
not only are they sick but im out all the money i put out on these cats as i baught them with breeding rights and they cant be breed with that disease, so be carefull who you buy your cats from and make sure you go to the cattery no matter how far away it is, i made that mistake and look what happened, the only good part is all my other cats have built up antibodies so they will not catch it, so if anybody has any ideas on how to get this virus to run its coarse quicker so it goes away please let me know.

One of the best things you can do for a kitty with herpes is giving them L-Lysine all the time. The dose is 500mg twice a day. You can get it at health food stores, or find it online.
I am really sorry you had to go through all of this. It's one of the reasons I will not ship kittens, new owners must come to the house.

My Persian was shipped and he turned out just fine. The other one I picked myself and he is a sickly little thing. You just never know.

I am so sorry to hear about this....after all you went through to get them!

I assume the breeder is not offering to help in any way either, at least that is what that other man said happened to him. Has she been in contact with you?

i have been giving them lysine, since we baught them and they take it very well, i guess the only other thing to do is hope for the best and hope they outgrow it, i have tried contacting the breeder since i got the kittens and still no response
i do have plans for her that only time will tell, and i guess i learned the hard way i will never again have a kitten shipped, without me going there to check things out my self then we can fly home together, it just burns me up that somebody could do this and have no conscious about it, i could never do that to somebody and feel right about it,i am glad though that my other cats wont get it so i can at least keep the kittens, and by the way here are pics. of my kittens

If you decide you still want to continue with the breeding program, I know of 2 very reputable breeders. One just moved to Kansas, the other is in New Jersey, but I would be more than happy to "vouch" for her cats and cattery. I have been there myself
