So......I took the dogs out today and was playing with them in the yard after daddy left for band practice. So we were playing and running, and Athena got away from me on her leash....i freaked. so i went and put isis in the house to go get Athena...well I couldnt see her..anywhere down the block..and I know shes a puppy but shes a basset she couldnt have gone that fast!

Well I am calling her..and calling her, and calling her, and finally she coems around the corner..holding a CAT! She was not being mean.....simply holding the cat by the scruff! So I took the cat and took athena.. and home we went. cat went in a carrier and onto the deck and athena in the house to her kennel. I went to all the neighbors, and ask if it was there cat..she has recently been spayed, has the stiches in and everything. Shes not feral, she is actuallt very sweet. It was no ones cat...

So I went to the vet and had her checked out, reported to all my humane societies and vets in the area....but for the most part..its going to appear we have another pet...

Pretty little Torti...vet said about two years old..

I love her already


But i think steves gonna kill me when he gets home..

LOL I guess soo hehe..funny thing is I think she thought it was hers LOL....shes really pretty and I have always wanted a tortie..but hes sooo gonna kill me, LOL with the three persians coming home in July..thats pushing us up to...
6 adults and we will have 5 kittens. one more make it an even twelve..lol

Aww, the dog saw a lost cat - knew you liked cats so brought it home so you could help!


If the cat has recently been spayed, somebody should be looking for her soon!

Athena knew a recently spayed kitty shoulsn't be out on her own so she brought her to you to help.
Steve will understand, just give him the Brady bunch speech, I mean comeon, you each HAVE to have the same amount of babies right?????

Good dog Athena! Looking out for the ones who need looking out for!

LOL..well lets hope....the vet thought it was around may 18th or so..just looking at everything. So We shall see. I made sure to get the word out. But if no one claims her...

I better start thinking of names lol

LOL well I just talked to him on the phone. He didnt seem mad at all. He agreed. There is always enough room for one more in this house, even tho the house seems to be getting smaller, LOL....we are hunting for a bigger place so he said if she doesnt get claimed she will have a home here.

and that it was thoughtful of Athena to bring home a kitty who shouldnt have been out on the town, lol. She is such a thoughtfull girl..to bad the kitty doesnt like her or anyone right now. LOL thats ok shes in our bedroom all by herself. for now.

Oh yes hes a keeper...he just got home and sat down on the bed and lept into his lap...hes won over, LOL..

and he named her Jade...cause i vetoed Mara, lOL and he wanted some star wars in it

yeah shes pretty happy so far.....but actually steves from evansville, IN family from Kentucky and Tn

heheh yeah i think it might have worn off on him, lol..

Thanks We love her..and are hopeing no one claims her she has bonded to us already infact shes taking a nap with steve right now lol

If someone did come to claim her, I'd tear a strip off them for allowing her out especially with stitches and all.

Well, but its not your fault, its the PUPPYS fault!
Sides, you DID try to find her owners and someone may claim her yet, good luck!
