All-time, hands-down favorite is A Time to Kill. My other faves, in no particular order, are:
*Robin Hoods: Prince of Thieves (Christian Slater=YUMMMMM )
*Shawshank Redemption
*High Fidelity
*Dogma
*The Sleepaway Camp trilogy (LOVE cheesy horror movies)
*The 2nd Hellraiser
*Steel Magnolias.
*A Perfect Storm
*O Brother, Where Art Thou?
*Kill Bill Volume 1
*The Peanut Butter Solution (random movie from the '80s)
*The Lost Boys
*Signs
*Aladdin (they Disney cartoon)
*Office Space
*Fahrenheit 911
*Forrest Gump (filmed in my hometown of Savannah!)
*South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (wow, that title makes me blush )
Movie buff? Me? Nooo......

Everything sci-fi... all Star Wars, all Star Trek, "Alien" and "Aliens" (but not the ones after where Ripley saves Newt), The Abyss, and (dare I say it) E.T. (altho E.T. makes me cry)

I'm a major Tom Hanks fan so anything with Tom in it gets my vote: You've Got Mail, Forrest Gump, The Money Pit, Splash, Castaway, etc.

American Beauty is one of my favorites... whenever I need a great laugh and to be reminded how life REALLY is ("look closer"), I watch that flick!

80's flicks!!! Remember GHOST? I watched it not too long ago, Whoopie kills me every time I watch it!

Bueller... Bueller... Bueller... St. Elmo's Fire, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink.

All the Arnie movies; except for that Christmas one that was so un-funny. Him in True Lies was *awesome*.

Cold Mountain. Cuz I got to see Jude Law's BUTT. I mean the acting was good but after I saw his butt, I couldn't concentrate on the ending of the movie...

Independence Day will always be a fave. I know it's corny but when Will Smith punches that alien and says "Welcome to Earth"... I remember the whole theater applauding.

My daughter & I are so totally looking forward to War of the Worlds... we saw the previews of it while watching Star Wars Ep III (twice), and wowwie I'm gonna be front & center for that one too!

I love old black and white classics

Casablanca
Wuthering Heights
Ghost and Mrs. Muir
Harvey
Arnesic and Old Lace
My Man Godfrey
The Awful Truth
Bringing up Baby

Stop me now or this could be 18 pages long

More modern movies that appeal to me are usually done on the classic scale IMO - Pirates, the first Star Wars, Meet Joe Black.

Horror ? Again the oldies, but Sixth Sense, Interview with a Vampire, Lost Boys - are some more modern ones I have liked.

This could so be my favorite thread!!! Don't laugh at me when I tell you what they are!!

Gone With the Wind (I am 22 years old, and I have seen a million times. So much, that my husband bought the DVD because the tape had lines in it!)

Scarlett (sequel to Gone With the Wind)
Chasing Liberty
Double Jeopardy
Where the Heart Is
High Crimes
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (I will buy it)
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
Cinderella Story
Freaky Friday
Ever After
Wizard of Oz

Thats all I can think of at the moment. But I love historical romance movies. And theres a new version of Pride and Prejudice coming out soon that I can't wait to see!

There are a bunch I really love. A few of my favorites are Breakfast at Tiffany's, White Nights, Forest Gump, and Dirty Dancing. And I don't think there's anyone my age who doesn't love Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
