...or Yard Sale or Tag Sale or Jumble Sale... Whatever you call it, the annual sale by the Lapidary Society is this weekend and this is my way of letting you all know you may not hear from me until late Saturday or Sunday.

We usually do well, but this year only one other person has volunteered to help me and mom.


The weather is iffy. We like to have it outside. So can ya all send some good weather vibes?


If you happen to be in the vicinity of 1304 North Willow Street in Evansville, Indiana, stop on by!!

(I am a member of the Evansville Lapidary Society - folks who cut gemstones, collect mineral and fossils - Rockhounds. Lapidary is the art of cutting stone. I put this here because I know for sure there are folks out there going "whut the the heck is lapidary??".)

Jan i hope the sun shines bright on Indiana for you, and if i lived a few thousand miles nearer i'd be there to do some buying as well!.

Dear Jan, you live in my old hometown. Sending lots and LOTS of good weather vibes ! If I still lived there you can bet I would be there with bells on, sorry, I live too far away now to come, hope the sale does well.

I lived in Kokomo Indiana for a few years. In fact, that is where I met my husband!
Good luck with your sale.

When I read Lapidary, I thought topiary, so I pictured trimming bushes! Thanks for letting me know you are a rock cutter! LOL!

It's over! We did okay in sales and the volunteers did arrived for the set up and tear down - bless them!


As for the weather, it was cloudy on Friday and we had light misting and showers every now and then. Saturday the sun was out - and so was the humidity!

Thanks to all who sent good vibes and to those who stopped by and bought - including a couple of guys who work at the tool place next door! (They were having a sidewalk sale and I'm sure lots of their customers drove by us to see if we had anything that they could use.)
