A few days ago I moved everything out of the closet where the kittens were, then lined it with plastic and newspaper, and then moved everything back in. (They're starting to use the litter box, and I didn't want the carpet to get stinky because of accidents.) Pepsi decided she didn't like it and started to move the kittens out. So ...

I moved them into the master bathroom. That was fine for a day until today, when Pepsi decided she HAD to be under the bed. Of course, she wants all five kittens with her. Surprise, surprise: they're four-and-a-half weeks old, and they don't WANT to lay quietly under the bed. Now that they have access to the bedroom, they want to explore.

She keeps trying to drag them under the bed, but of course there are five of them, and one of her, and so she's having a hard time keeping up.

She prefers to pick them up by the neck but will settle for a leg or an ear if that's all she can get. Should I be concerned by that? They seem to be getting awfully big for her to drag around like that. I wonder if eventually they will just wear her down so that she lets them go where they want ...

Hi!

My mama cat gets anxious when she cannot see all of her kitties... They are in the spare bedroom and I pretty much let the kitties roam... For the first day or 2, because mama was abit distressed I created a 'kitty pen'... That way they could still explore but they were somewhat confined to a smaller space than the whole of the room...

Of course, being curious creatures as they are, they want to cross every boundary created.... Now mama seems to be fine as long as they are in the room... She doesnt like to be totally confined in there with them, so I leave the door open, but put a block up so the kitties cannot leave the room, but she can still jump over it...

anyways, just some suggestions...

good luck...
