A few days ago I moved everything out of the closet where the kittens were, then lined it with plastic and newspaper, and then moved everything back in. (They're starting to use the litter box, and I didn't want the carpet to get stinky because of accidents.) Pepsi decided she didn't like it and started to move the kittens out. So ...
I moved them into the master bathroom. That was fine for a day until today, when Pepsi decided she HAD to be under the bed. Of course, she wants all five kittens with her. Surprise, surprise: they're four-and-a-half weeks old, and they don't WANT to lay quietly under the bed. Now that they have access to the bedroom, they want to explore.
She keeps trying to drag them under the bed, but of course there are five of them, and one of her, and so she's having a hard time keeping up.
She prefers to pick them up by the neck but will settle for a leg or an ear if that's all she can get. Should I be concerned by that? They seem to be getting awfully big for her to drag around like that. I wonder if eventually they will just wear her down so that she lets them go where they want ...
