how often should a kitten be fed during the first week?

i dont know if the mother cat supplies enuff milk for the kitten because sometimes she ignores him, i have kmr powder and i wonder if i should give it the kitten, last nite kitten and the mother slept with me i saw him feeding him like every 1.5-2 hours when he started screaming. please let me know if i should provide more food for the kitten, thank you in advance

I know that when a kitten is only being bottle fed, it needs to eat every 2 hours. Sooner if they start to scream. And the big important thing is that they stay warm, so make sure the mother is doing that too. Keep a close eye on her for half a day and see exactly how often and for how long the kittens nurse. How old is the mother? Sometimes if the mother is way too young to have babies in the first place (like under a year) then sometimes they just don't know what to do and can't care for the kittens properly.

looks like the kitten has stopped eating

its geting weaker and weaker every hour

i'm going to the vet in 1 hour hopefully he is gonna tell us what to do.
i'm really worried
