Constipation in Momma

Scratches had 4 kittens about 3 weeks ago and now she seems to be constipated. The only change in her diet since the birth has been KMR leftovers when I finsh supplementing the wee ones. She is having trouble getting poo out, but when it does come it doesnt seem to have changed in consistancy from before. Any ideas since it is a holiday and Tueday happens to be my vets normal day off Thanks Amy

If you are giving her KMR add a few drops of olive oil to it- or feed her some canned pumpkin with her canned food. Cooked and mashed green beans with a bit of butter is also a good way to introduce fiber, as is giving her a pinch of catnip (organic) or letting her chew on cat grass
