Hi
I will ask more at the vets but for now..what is a good schedule for a very skinny (bony spine, hip bones very palpable, ribs definite) kitten about 4-6 months old?

Until I get this guy in to the vet, I would like to know if I should free feed him both wet and dry?
I picked him up some Iams Kitten wet and dry and feed him each in separate bowls 3 times a day..
Is this adequate?

He loves to eat at this point.

Tx!

I'd make sure the dry food is always full so he can free feed and give him wet food 2-3 times a day. As far as I know the only worry about over-feeding is that they can throw up or get diarrhea from it.

I would not free feed a stray. They eat everything in sight, and if he is skinny, he needs weight on gradually and not quickly. I would feed him 6 times a day small amounts, dry and wet- and make sure he has fresh water always.
