"We don't sell cars."lol

I went to a major pet food chain yesterday. I asked a sales clerk if they had Innova?
In a valley girl voice, looking puzzled, she answered..."We don't sell cars."

She thought I was asking if they had "a Nova" Chevrolet.
I swear to God...it happened.

Wow! Did you explain to her it's a type of pet food? I'm sure she would have felt pretty stupid

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall!

Well if you had asked me two years ago (before I had joined TCS) I would have been stumped, because it's definitly not a world known brand. I see the funny side though!

I wonder if she told her friends "This lady came up to me and asked if we sold Novas, I swear it happened!"

She probably doesnt have any purrkids .

I hadn't looked at it from her point of view. That is so funny.

But...but...but... I don't even BUY the stuff, and I recognize the name...and she WORKS for a merchant of such products??? Methinks she needs to get on board.

LOL...one of the problems with a big box store imo.

Heck, I didn't like asking the store if they had "World's Best Cat Litter" since that name can be...well....general to any litter!!
