sticky yellow mouth

My daughter brought home a tiny kitten somone was giving away. It looks to be about 5 weeks old???? It is adorable, but it smelled very bad. We bathed it, and then found out the smell was coming from its mouth. His mouth is seeping a yellowish sticky stuff. What in the world could it be??? It is the weekend, and the vet is not open here.

Are there any emergency vets in the area?I don't know what it is but it sounds like it could be pus, which could mean an infection in the poor baby's mouth! Is the kitten eating?

yes...he has a healthy appetite. hmmmm.

Please take it to a er vet ..

I'd find an emergency vet asap. It's not good whatever it is.
