The perfect end to my time here...

Youse all know I am leaving for NZ on August 15th...

We have booked a few days in New Orleans from August 7-11 for a few days to spend with each other before I leave - we need the time together!!!

I am sooo in love with New Orleans that I thought about it every day, and I feel better that I am going back so that I can catch more of what I missed when I was there last time and it was during Mardi Gras and so not everything was available.

Have fun in New Orleans! I'm going in December for a professional meeting and can't wait-I really want to do a graveyard tour or haunting tour.

OHH! How exciting!! I've heard New Orleans can be a very exciting place to visit!

I might have missed a previous thread regarding this? Does this mean you are moving back to NZ or just going back for a visit?

If you're moving back, will you be able to bring your furbabies with you?

Ohhh Christy - we got a coupon for a graveyard/haunting/history tour - so we are sure to be using that!

Pamela - yes, I am going home on August 15 - permanently. (for now ) And I got the loan from my grandparents to bring the cats home with me! Yay! There is no way I am leaving them behind!

And yes, New Orleans is very exciting - especially during Mardi Gras - thats when I went last time. I sure had my eyes full!

That's FANASTIC that ur grandparents are loaning u $$!!!!!!!!! I remmy u were sooo torn about moving to NZ because of cats.. I am SO GLAD to hear that this has been worked out!!!!!!!!

Be sure to take tons of pics of New Orleans for us!! AND tell us stories of the haunting trip since I LOVE hauntings!!

There are Riverboat Dinner cruises on the Mississippi. Be sure to take one of them. Good food, setting sun, nice ambiance.

If I weren't going to be 8 months pregnant at the time I'd come meet you! It's waaaaay too hot for me to get out there being that big! I only live about an hour away.

Make sure to get your "fix" of Gumbo and go to Cafe du Mode!

Eddie - of course I am crazy I am already shopping around for clothes to wear there - I don't like skimpy stuff so I will have to go with shorts and tank tops

Catherine - I have a friend who lives an hour away also - in Sorrento - know the town by any chance?

Do I really have to be good? I don't want to be good. I want my weekend to be decadent.

Oh I am SO definitely going to get my gumbo and coffee and chicory with my beignets! And I will have to get some together and mail them straight home to NZ!!!!!!
