I'm seriously considering it. I bought a harnass and a leash and took my kitty outside one day. I think he liked it, but he was really unsure of himself and wasn't quite sure what was going on.

Any tips on how to make sure the cat likes it? Or how to make him more comfortable outside?

My hubby walks our male cat 2 times a day, he will go out back on his leash and jump on the 3 ft brick wall and walk from one end of it to the other and back, he LOVES his walks and will wait for Zoie (female Basset) to get her walk first, but he will be right there waiting for that leash at the door when Dad brings Zoie in from hers, we also had another cat that would walk all over the condo complex and actually around the blaock, nothing scared ole Kitty boy

I took my Kahli on walks. We would go to our neighbors house and she would get some water and a treat. That taught her to go to the neighbor's if she ever got out by herself. She loved to run up and down the top of the flat mailboxes and watch the cars go by, and say "Brruuuuppp" to whoever would come to get their mail. Everyone knew Kahli.

I hope Finnegan loves it like your cats do! I can't really get him on a regular schedule right now, but I'm hoping he'll learn that when I get the leash it means it's walk time.

I take Miko and Kionu on daily walks, or as much as the weather will allow. I really don't have any tips as they both took to it really well. Sebastian on the other hand, not so much. The only grass he loves is the catnip kind.

I walk both Tibby and Molly and they thoroughly enjoy it! They also tell me when they've had enough!

You might want to take a look at this thread you should find some handy hints and tips to get you going!

I am sure Finnegan will love his walkies too!

I think he will learn the connection, my micky sure did, and he was probably 9 or 10 before he started walking on a leash
Right now he's waiting for Dad to come home so he can go out...Good Luck

Willy was the only one of my cats I've been able to walk. Like others have said, we just took it slow. Initially, he just liked hanging around on the front porch of my apartment building. Eventually, we worked up to walking up and down the street a few houses, but that's as far as he wanted to go.
