When did you get married in June? Bryan and I celebrate our second wedding anniversary June 28th.

And yes they are expensive.
But the day was oh so worth it.

LOL. We have the same anniversary. Hubby's and my wedding was planned it two weeks.
It was a snap decision because he was going back active duty in the army.... but we dated for like 5 years before we got married so a sudden wedding wasn't a shock to the family.

I've made some dumb mistakes, in my life. Actually, I've MARRIED my dumb mistakes.

The first one was at 16, to get away from home. That one lasted three years, until he started thumping on me. I bailed out, after the first strike.

After a number of bad relationships, I married Russ, when I was 27 and he was 55. He loved my kids and cats and had a great sense of humor. We had a good three years, until he died. If not for that, we'd still be married.

Five years after Russ' death, I married Numbnuts. We had been living together, for four years. Just before our eighth anniversary, he took off, with a piece of Internet trash. So much for co-habiting. He was 54, when he ran out on me.

Bill and I have been living together, for almost 4 years. At 60, HE'S past the middle-age crazies (see paragraph above) and doesn't know how to use a computer. If I remarry, before age 57, I will lose my widow's pension. By then, Bill will be 70 and I'm not sure if we'll even WANT to get married.

Married once, and although i left him 7 years ago after 18 years of marriage, i havent the heart to divorce him because he took the breakup badly, so legally i'm still married.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
Brad is my second husband.
My first one was an abusive
who is now getting back all the hell he put me thru 2x fold. Karmas a bitch huh? From what I hear, he is close to 400 pounds, has sleep apnea, and some sort of other things are wrong with him too,
but hey, that's not my problem. Callous? no truthful. He was a wicked man and so it's hard for me to feel sorry for him.
Brad on the other hand is the complete opposite. He is the man I dreamed about when I was with my ex. Brad is caring, sweet, loving, helpful, giving, and encouraging. He's helped me through so much. Seizures to surgeries, he's always been there for me. I wouldn't trade him for all the water in the oceans.

Barb, you're right about karma. Less than a year after taking his Viagra on a road trip, Numbnuts had to have double-bypass surgery. Because of that, the doctor cut off his Viagra prescription!

I have been married only 1 time, but someday if I happen to meet the right man, I may again..my kids are my 1st priority before I even start dating anyone...it's been almost a year since my divorce was final, and I am not even interested at all....

I've been married once before, and I don't think I'd ever like to take the plunge again, unless Paul Stanley asked me, then I'd think about it.

I married at 20, had my first child 10 months later. Although he could be a total jerk, and emotionally abusive, I had decided to make the best of the situation. Then he dumped me!
I had just had our second child.

I never wanted to marry again. I thought, sure, if the perfect man came along, maybe. But knew that would never happen.

Then I met John.
He actually scared me, because by the time I had known him for 3 days, I knew I could end up married to him for life. We had known each other for almost 7 months when we got married in 1993. He is the one I dreamed about as a teenager. He is loving, respectful, and a good father to the first two kids, and the two more we have had.

So for me, it has been twice.

I hate the term "common law marriage". My brother and his girlfriend have been together for about 16 years, and have 6 children together. She is even a stay-at-home mom, since about 3 kids ago! There is nothing "common" about their relationship. We need a better term!

That said, as a Christian, I would prefer they were actually married. But do you know, for all the conversations we have, and how close we are with kids the same age, they have never asked my opinion!
LOL!

I agree! Not quite the same, but Mom had a 2nd and Dad is on his 3rd (and hopefully he'll realize how great she is.. sorry off topic
)

I lived with my now hubby for 6 years in 2 different countries. Wasn't sure about marriage either.

But we did it anyway on June 15, 2002. So in a few weeks we'll celebrate what most people call our 3rd anniversary!

We still call it our 9th
and we're damn proud of it!

I've never been married, but I would like to be someday. I don't want to be single for the rest of my life.

No worries, Sandra. Marriage isn't without it's trials. I'm sure your time will come, if you want it to.

I have been married since i was 18, im now 21... and i honestly hate it. We do love and care for each other, but we werent really ready to get married and now we pretty much hate each others guts.

If we end up splitting up, which wont surprise anyone we know, except his parents, who have no idea we have any problems, it will probably be a long long long time before i get married again.

I don't know if I'll ever get married... I definitely don't want children (other than furry ones!), and many men my age want them, so it's likely I'll end up with someone divorced and many years older.

I have a lot on my plate right now and frankly don't have the time or energy to commit to a relationship.

That's unfortunate, Megan.
Whatever happens, I wish you the best and hope you'll have custody of both kitties.
