That's really interesting! Hopefully they'll find something wit hthe initials on it to prove it!!
My husband and I drove to Beaufort for our 1-year anniversary. It is such a cute little town, with the Pirate Museum and all that. I highly reccommend it! (But I DO NOT reccommend the Delamar Inn B&B--they lost my reservation for our one-year anniversary holiday, and the woman didnt even apologize! Try the Langdon House--they were AWESOME! At Beaufort inlet you can get a boatride to Cape Lookout. There are wild horses on the island--ancestors of the Spanish horses that swam to shore when the conquistadors ships wrecked on the reefs. There are dolphins that swim along the boat and you can have cocktails at sunset! So romantic. The Blackbeard stuff just makes it that much more fun and interesting.
