I was looking for an interactive toy for Oscar at a pet store and found something called the Panic Mouse. Here's a link for it from petco.com

It wasn't real hit to start yesterday but today he loves it! You can adjust height and speed. Just thought I'd let ya'll know! And if you have it, let me know how it works for you!

Thanks for sharing! I sent the link to my fiance. Toys are very important in this house, and we're always looking for something to keep them busy and entertained.

Toys are important here too! Oscar is a very spoiled cat and like a little child.... he gets bored with them easily though

My husband bought me something very similar for Mother's day...

Feline Frolic from Sharper Image

Cosmo doesn't like it all that much. He really only plays with it if I'm holding it (LOL)

What I did buy recently was a stuffed squeaking mouse that hangs from the back of the top of a closet door. He didn't seem to like it at first, but I've left it hanging there and for the last 5 nights in a row I hear him in the dark attacking it (it squeaks when it's bumped or pounced on). It's exactly the type of independent interactive toy I was looking for to keep him busy when we're sleeping or I can't play

I got one of these a while back for my girls. Katie wasn't interested and Gracie was afraid of it! Maybe I'll try again with Pete. He'll play with anything!

I got one of those, the one with the Garfield top. The cats love it! I also got a similar toy from Sharper Image that you can move around via remote control. They like it as well, but they really prefer the Panic Mouse.

I got one for my kitties. Billy looks interested, but doesn't have the courage to approach it himself. Blossom runs terrified whenever she sees it or it moves/sounds. I even had to move it because it was in her line of sight from her food, and she wouldnt eat she was so scared! Funny, because she is the one who isnt bothered by the vaccum and Billy is terrified whenever I pull it from the closet!

I also heard you can get replacements like a cat nip wand. Does anyone know where I can find them?
