Good Luck to you!!!!

I know exactly how it is!!! I quit my job after 10 years and also gave 3 weeks notice. I cried when I did it, because some of the people were like family to me, but it was starting to effect me mentally and physically, so it was way past time.

It will all work out OK!

i'm so happy for you Elizabeth! Good for you for doing what your heart is telling you to do. Be sure to take the time to really figure out what you want to do, that's what I'm doing right now (just make sure it doesn't take you as long as it's taken me
) Good Luck! I know something wonderful is gonna come your way!

Good for you E!!! Llife is too short to live even part of it somewhat unhappy!
Look at it this way, with a 3 hour communte 5 days a week 52 weeks a year, you are now gaining more than a month back of your life....32.5 days!!!!!!
Think of all that extra time you can now spend with Sasha, Saba, Sandy & Eric!
I wish you luck finding the right job for you....with your outgoing personally and soft heart, I know you'll have no problems!!

You just can not believe how jealous I am of you!!!! I have so wanted to dance out the back door of this place, singing "Take this job and shove it". I am so jealous. Bless you and all the best wishes in the universe. You are so brave.

I am so pleased for you...best wishes with the two potential offers. I know how much thought you've put into this.

It went well. I told them I wasn't going to walk out, leave a mess, have incessant personal phone calls or anything like that. I thanked them for the past 4 years and said it was not their fault, it was just where the job had changed so much and up to me to make my own changes now. They were very nice. Yes, they did ask me to stay, but all the tea in China wouldn't do that! And I drink foofy teas!

I am so relieved. The huge knot in my back and neck has disappeared. Who knew?
So now I just hope I can make the offer come in that I've been working on from the company I've been talking to - and I'll be set. My last day here is June 17. YAY!!!!!

Congratulations on moving ahead with your life. I have a feeling you're doing the right thing. I wish I had it in me to do the same thing.

Hope, if I said I'm so confident, I'd be lying. I'm scared! I'm scared I won't get an offer at the new place, and I'm scared everything will fall apart. But saving my sanity was more important than anything. I have been sick as a dog this week, I've had health issues crop up that I've never had before due to the stress and 3 hr commute. I just placed all my faith in the iron will I have to move forward and find a win-win. When you feel it so much, you will make the changes you need. Notice how whenever we have big changes, we all come here??

Whats foofy tea?!

Foofy teas...like white ginseng, ylang ylang, mimosa, oolong, jasmine...Chinese foofy teas that all the tea in China wouldn't keep me at this job any longer!

Congratulations E. You have great courage to do what you're doing and I bet it feels great.

I have been stuck at a job that I hate for over 12 years but unfortunately this is the only business I know. There's isn't a plating shop on every corner like Starbucks, so it's not easy just for me to go get a new job.

E, I wish I had the courage to do what you're doing! I wish you nothing but the best, and I hope that one of those offers comes through for you.
I'm sure everything will work out for you in the end!
