Jake is! He put in night lights just for Kahu in case Kahu can't see his way around in the dark!

If Peedoodle or Kahu are sitting with him, he won't move until they do. And he brings them both to bed at night.

When he comes home from school or work, he looks for the cats so they can greet him - and kisses them. Nice aye?

He looks in the cat toys aisle in Petsmart and tries to figure out whether they need more toys - they certainly don't! He also bought them a bed with yankee symbols on it - he wanted the cats to share his love of the NY Yankess.
He is also thinking of buying this thingy at Petsmart that looks like a cube and they can sleep inside and has a little tunnel thing as he thinks they will like it.

How about yours??

Well... hubby likes to pretend he's a tough guy and tells the cat she needs a daily beating and she's lazy (sleeping all day lol). He doesn't agree that she helps clean by collecting dust.
He's always saying things to kitty just to irritate me but I know he's a softie cause he'll hug her and smooch her little nose.

Kellye, Jake is SUCH a doll. Wow!
That is so cute about the night light- that's something most of us wouldn't even think about!
Bradley is a softie for the cats (Cosette in particular) even though he won't admit it. He'll pick her up and talk to her in this high-pitched (for him) baby talk and say stuff like "Cosettie, come play with mommy and daddy."
He's also in the process of building them a cat tree from scratch. So yeah, he's a closet softie

Oh yes, Jerry is a BIG softie when it comes to the kits......as a matter of fact, he greets and gives hugs and kisses to them before he does me when he comes home from work!

My husband certainly is with Bijou but not with the other cats. He tried to get close to our other cats but they always favoured me. Bijou is wonderful with each of us in a different way. John will hold him and talk to him and Bijou will "talk" right back to him. He is totally enamoured with Bijou and I love watching him with the cat. It's a side I had never seen in our 28 years together.

That is so sweet. I never would have married a man that was unkind to animals. You can really tell a lot about a person with how they treat a furry 4 legged friend.
The image you have of your hub and kit in your signiture says it all. You can really tell how Bijou adores your husband.
My mom has a blue point male and he is extreemly attatched to my step father... but he'll take any open warm lap.

When I first started dating my BF, there was a ripped screen in his window. I told him he should fix it, but he said he liked it that way. I thought that was a little strange. One day soon after I saw a black & white cat jump onto the roof and come through his window. I said "I didn't know you had a cat!" He explained that it was his landlady's, but she wouldn't allow the cat inside. Softy? Yup!

As for our cats, they are our kids. He loves them as much as I do. Well...almost.

I could never be with someone who didn't love animals. The men in my life (being my dad and brother) have all been big softies when it comes to the cats!

Softie, definitely! Babycakes, for as long as we've had her, gets the milk left off of his cereal as a treat in the mornings.........lately, he's been eating breakfast at the bakery, so she has been missing her treat.....one night last week we had cereal for a bedtime snack......she jumped up on the couch arm and was mooching his milk....when he didn't get done fast enough, she stuck her furry lil' head in his bowl and started drinking! He never said a word, just let her have it, lol!!

I wouldn't be with him if he wasn't

He comes by it naturally, his mother has devoted her home, and her retirement years to cat rescue.
She has over 20 cats sharing her home, I commend anyone that has that many indoor cats with none of the "cats live here" smells of any kind, that's a lot of work.

I just started seeing someone new and that was one of the first things I had to know. The first time he came over Rambo went right up and started cuddling with him, curled up and fell asleep suckling on his nice (expensive) shirt!

Definitely a promising sign! I guess the way to a cat lovers heart is through her furbabies!

when i was single i always had a rule, never date a guy who doesn't like kids and animals...my husband loves the babies, he won't get up if mookie is on his lap, the other 2 cats are not cuddlers but Mookie is and my husband will take the kitten to bed with him when he goes, and when we got Paco (our injured stray) he tried to act all tough but he loved the little guy and babies him just as much as i do, he even makes toys for them, and is in the process of building them a new cat post!

Brendan is a huge softie!! He's always grabbing Waffle and wanting her to snuggle with him whenever he comes over. He constantly is playing with her and always has a smile on his face over every cute thing she ever does! Now that he has his own kitten it's even more apparent what a big softie he is!! When she was sick last Wednesday Brendan couldn't hold back how upset he was. He kept snuggling with her and telling her how important she was to him. Hida (his new kitten) likes to sleep next to him and Brendan loves to tell me each morning where he found Hida sleeping with this great fondness in his voice. He's such a sweetheart with animals!

I don't have a guy in my life BUT my dad- he's the BIGGEST softie of all for cats!!!!!!!

While growing up, he often would complain about cats- how "dumb, smelly and stuckup" they are but often he would come into my bedroom asking "where's that darned cat!?" then proceed to pet, cuddle and nuzzle with the cats.

I often caught (and still do) him kneeling at the computer desk because one of the cats commandered the computer chair and he didn't want to disturb her sleep!

Oh yes, he is a BIG softy when it comes to the cats. Which is funny..because when I first introduced him to the cats. he was NOT a cat person....and he was convinced Loki was going to throw a bomb at him....well ok Loki didnt help by everytime he would walk in taking one look at him and running, no hiss or anything away under a counter..and peering out, LOL

But now....he goes to Petsmart just as often as I do...asks me what kind of food will be best to get (he forgets we feed the same thing but you know hes trying) always asks about getting them treats...and toys.. i got a window perch that didnt work in the window and was going to return it....but we have small windows so there were no others to fit..

He went out and got supplies and built it into the wall for them. He gathers them up for bed, is always counting kittens

And..he takes naps with them on Nascar days

I definitely think lots of guys are "closet softies". Amy, that's so sweet of Bradley to build your girls a tree from scratch.
It seems like you've got a great guy. Kellye, that's so cute that Jake bought your kits a Yankees bed
If I tell Shy that, he'll start looking for a Mets one.

My husband Shy is definitely a softie when it comes to our kits. He talks sweet to them, plays with them every evening, and gets worried every time he hears one sneeze
He will even go outside at night and catch moths for them to play with. Sandy was in the hospital for a week and a half last November and when we would go visit her, he would always tell the vet," Do whatever she needs to get better, we're not worried about how much it costs, we just want her to get better". That's sweet coming from him b/c he's such a cheapskate sometimes
Sui is "daddy's girl", though. He loves them all but we bottle raised her and she definitely has a special place in his heart.
