Hey, New too the forum, however have some bad news
, Saturday morning, i opened the front door to see my cat laying curled up in a ball like he usually does, however, his right side, (front leg and back leg) did not move, they were all limp. He also had a cut on his head and he could not walk etc. I very much doubt he could have got home by himself.

I took him to the vet asap, and since then, they have x-rayed him, and he has got no fractures or breaks what so ever. Since then he has been on a drip and we have rung the vets regularly and they think he either may have brain damage or has bruising on the brain, He is eating which is a good sign, but was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Many Thanks

Angie

Sounds like a stroke?
My elderly kitty had one, on her right side the front and back paw didnt really work so well. But, a week later, she was 85% improved (not all the way, but enough), with no intervention from us.

Hi, we dont know what has happened to him? Whether he was hit by a car, or fallen badly? (Our neighbours are having a swimming pool in their back garden, and have a huge hole) It makes me wonder whether he has fallen badly dsuring the night. But then again, there are loads of possibilities.

Thanks

Angie

That is so sad. I know you must be really upset. You & your little furbaby are in my thoughts & prayers.

Thanks xocats, yea, i already miss him and his only been at the vets for 2 days lol. But still, we are collecting him tomorrow, and giving him a week to improve, if not, he will have to be put down. (bless him) But im gonna give him a big chance and hopefully he will pull through.

Good news, Charlie is eating and is now at home. He can now move his back right leg, but his front is still limp. The vet has said that she has seen somew improvements with him l8ly over the past few days and wants to see him on Thursday! So fingers crossed, and lets hope he recovers.

Heres my Lil Charlie!
