My Persian cat had kittens almost 7 weeks ago and I was wondering if I should sell them or not. I mean I don't want to just give the kittens away to just anybody because its way too risky.I paid $800 for each of them at a pet store and they said that they were both girls but 3months later i discovered that they were a boy and a girl from their kittens litter. So the parents are both white with green eyes and both purebreeds. They have 1 grey girl,3 white girls,1 white boy,and 1 charcole boy.A total of 4 girls and 2 boys. They are very healthy, fluffy, cute, and playful.they will get their shots in a week or so.They were born on April 4,2005.What do you think a apprioviate price would be for these cuties ?Thank you,Evelyn.

Hello there,

Are you sure they are purebred Persians? Because they definitly should not have green eyes!

Since you are not a registered breeder if you sell them do not sell them as purebred Persians because this is known as backyard breeding!

Good luck placing them in forever homes. Also, have the parents been desexed now?

I would advertise them in your local paper or something. Don't sell them for alot of money though because they aren't purebreds (even if the parents are - these kittens still haven't been registered) I would perhaps sell them for the cost of their shot or something. Good luck.

i would sell them for a little more otherwise people will be thinking "well apart from the shots which i'd have to get anyway, free kittens!" and might not treat them as well as people who would pay more for them.

make sure their price covers their 2 shots (which you must take them for) a spay/neuter if you can get it done at 12weeks and enough to cover your own expenses of spay/neuter for the parents and the extra food the mama cats been eating.

check the petshops and ads in the locals for kittens and see how much they are going for and price accordingly.

Here in NZ only one vaccination is required by the breeder, and since the shots are $30 a kitten here in NZ that's definitly a resonable amount.
