so many people posted pics of their yards i thought i would as well, couldn't find the other threads though...this pic really doesn't do it justice, and this is only half of my yard, but it's my favorite half my mom had the bench and outhouse shed made for me, it really isn't an outhouse, it's made to hold my gardening tools...i also have a beautiful pond but i couldn't get a good pic of it yet, it's just too bright outside right now, i'll try again later...can you believe i live in a mobile home park? the yard was one of the biggest selling points for me!

because americans consider most people who live in mobile homes to be what we call "white trash" because most of these parks are very run down and only very low income people live in them...i found a very nice one, and i love it, my husband and i have 3 kids and it's important to us that i'm home with them instead of sending them to daycare, so a mobile home was all we could afford to buy...personally i love it, the money we saved buying it gave me enough to fix it up inside! i'll post some pics of the inside, i've done a lot of work to it

Your yard is beautiful. I would love to rest on the cool green grass. In So. California, property costs so much, mobile homes are a great option. We have beautiful parks here but the yards are not as large as yours. Lucky you.

Also, some trailer parks are places where old trailers (or mobile homes) are parked on tiny patches of ground. They are low cost to rent, which means some poorer people live there, but often also some tacky people.

Now, in places like Indiana, people put a trailer on a large piece of land and end up with a very nice home at a reasonable price. Or there are nice trailer parks where they have nice sized yards and are well kept. Often they don't allow people to rent the trailers, so you get more stable neighborhoods.

If it sounds like I speak from experience, it is because I do. I once rented an old rickety trailer in Charleston South Carolina. Then I purchased a trailer and lived in nearby Goose Creek South Carolina.

I like that yard, especially the outhouse shed! And M, you are a very good interior decorator. Nice job!

Lovely job! I am also against the stigma of living in a mobile home is bad. My Dad has one, and I lived there for several years. Its a lovely neighbor hood and the house is fantastic. Its a double wide..and he had it built...its larger than my mothers house...

well put, mobile home parks in my area are pretty bad for the most part, full of drug dealers and can be quite scary, mine is one like you said no one is allowed to rent in our park, you have to own your trailer and live in it...bonus for me my trailer was only $14000 for a 3 bedroom, and my lot rent is only $255/month which is really good here...can't wait til the trailer is paid for $255/month for rent is awesome!!

Sounds like you made some good decisions, allowing you to stay home with your kids. Another suggestion for stay at home moms, if you have the patience, is to babysit for other people's kids.

This summer, while I am at work and 2 kids are at the sitter's full time, I will be paying $240/week for their care. And that is a bargain in my area. I know the prices vary, but if you have a nice place and can handle a few more kids, it might work out. (And if the trailer park doesn't have a rule against it!)

thank you! the only down fall of older mobile homes...mine was built in 1978 and back then they put fake wood paneling everywhere, awful stuff makes the place too dark, that's why all the paiinting...i'll get some of the rest later we actually textured over the paneling in the living room, and then painted...looks awesome

Nice green grass in your yard.
Your daughter's bedroom looks cute with the stuffed toy hammock. I see a care bear in there.
