Hi
Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m new here and I have a new pet.
I found him on Monday morning; he was in the middle of the street. There were cars passing by from both sides and nobody seemed to care, Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m so glad I went to the store that morning. He looks like 7 weeks old. Didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t walk the first day, just like five steps to use the litter pan, I helped him up. On Tuesday, he started walking with difficulty, and on Wednesday, he was run, so cute.
He was very weak, malnutrition, and most of his barbels are short, they were cut. I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t look for an owner, obvious reasons. He is so friendly, always wants to play, when heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s not sleeping of course.

Every time I mention him to a friend, they ask what kind of cat he is and I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t know. Could someone tell me, please? Here is a picture; I hope I can post it. Thank you.

He is most likely a domestic longhair, which is a mixed breed. He is very cute. I think he might resemble a Maine Coon cat or a Siberian cat-which doesn't mean he is a Maine Coon, he just looks like one. To be a ceirtan breed of cat you would need to know who his parents are and they have to be purebred. I think his coloring is a brown tabby.
I am providing a link with some brown tabby Maine Coon kitties for comparison.

He looks like Adoni, My Norwegian Forest kitten His picture is below. They could almost be twins. However, he is more then likely a DLH. He is absolutely beautiful. Good luck with your new kitty.

Thank you so much Halfpint, Big-Cat-Fan, MissCharlotte, Elizwithcat, Javajane

Yes, Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m very lucky. I love him so much. I have been looking at some pictures and he looks like a Maine Coon. Javajane, what does DLH stand for? Sorry but I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t know much. It does look a lot like your cat, and how old is he? Thanks again for the replies.

DLH stands for domestic long hair, which basically means he is a mixed breed cat with long hair. The thing is, it is impossible to say what breed the cat is because to be a ceirtan breed you need to know what his parents are and the parents have to be purebred cats. But hey, you could tell your freind he looks like a Maine Coon ( or a Siberian or Noregian Forrest Cats-these breeds look similar in appearance).

Adoni is 12 weeks old. He already has a deposit on him, but I haven't been able to get in touch with the woman who was supposed to purchase him from me. She was supposed to be having twins any day. I hope she is okay. Has anyone ever had someone put a deposit on a kitten and then never come to pick it up?
