My cat has been diagnosed with FIC, a bladder disease, as I understand it.
The vet told me to give him prescription Science Diet. First of all, the cat wouldn't eat it. Second of all, I don't want to feed him Science Diet because it has biproducts in it. Asking the vet what other food I can feed the cat was fruitless. At least my cat peed on her (good boy!). The vets do aggravate me-only food they would recommend and sell is Science Diet. And based on the ingredients, it's not the best food to feed the cat.
Are there good quality foods out there for the urinary health that do not have biproducts?

Hi,

We discussed this in your Litterbox thread, did you research the brand suggested by Dr. Doolittle, or use the link I gave you? Did you ask your vet about the med Dr. Doolittle mentioned using with FIC cats in the practice she works at, or the glucosamine I told you I had used with my girl with cystitis?

I don't mean to sound like I'm drilling you here
but it's hard to make any recommendations, if you haven't checked out the suggestions we already gave you (another of which was discussing changing to a wet food diet only, as I was advised to do with my girl).

Yes, I am definetly checking the links your provided. Thank you for your help, please don't think I don't appreciate your suggestions! The cat seems to be getting a little better, still uses the litter box a lot, but less, and also has a lot of energy and plays

But I think the more options I get, the merrier, as I don't know if my cat will eat any of it, or where I can find the foods, as the vet only sells science diet.
