Reading up on my new kittens before I get them, several places have mentioned that kittens will chew wires and cables. I've had cats before and never had this problem, how worried should I be? Should I start insulating all my electrical cables just in case? Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated!

I've never had that problem before either, but if you're worried about it, you can go to a computer supply place and get the plastic sleeves that go around them.

I also recommend not letting your cats play with string because it is similar to cable; how are they supposed to know the difference? (Also, they can ingest it and injure themselves.)

Hi, my suggestion would be using one of these Feline Behavior Modification Spray, like feliway. You can get it everywhere, even at walmart, just spray wherever you don't want your cat to touch or bite.
It is very important he/she learn what is forbidden before he/she growns up.
CHeers,
