Wont eat dry kitten food

Hi

I cant get Marblecake my kitten to eat any dry food at all. I have mixed canned with it and somehow he manages to eat around it. I have tried just giving him smaller amounts of canned hoping he will be a little hungrier and go for the dry which I leave out all the time. I have sprinkled dry on top but he avoids it that way too.

Misty my other kitten will eat the dry although she will wait it out till she is really hungry. She is about two weeks older than him. She is 12 and a half weeks old approx. He is ten weeks.

I end up worrying he will starve so put down the canned food only for him and we start all over again.

Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried adding warm water to soak/soften the dry food? And if that doesn't work, do so but mix it with the canned, so it's all the same consistency...to get him used to the taste of the dry you are feeding.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I have mixed it together but he somehow manages to eat just the wet food. I havent wet the dry to soften it so I will give that a try. I would eventually like to have them on a dry food diet with maybe a half a tin each of canned every day.
