Punkin has been here for about a year. She used to pee in just her litter box, then for a while on the bed, so I started keeping her near a litter box while I was at work, so then she started peeing on the bath mat, so I threw that away. Now if I leave a towel on the br floor to step on after my shower, she pees on it, she has even gone so far as to knock the towel off the edge of the tub and pee on it.
I leave her out to roam the house, except my bedroom (afraid she'll pee on the bed more while I don't know it)
WELL, today she pee'd on my small area rug in the living room, out of no where, well I was gone at work when she did it.
Another funny thing she does is scratch at the litter box. like when she is in it she puts her claws on the front of it and scratches like she is trying to tear open a box.

I really dont' have the money to take her to the vet, because they said if I bring her back they will sedate her, she was very mean and scratched the tech! I don't have that kind of money and I am worried about her peeing every where, especially because I am about to move into a new house nad don't want her to pee all over the new carpet.
Sorry this is so long!
Thanks

Your cat needs to be seen by a vet, and yes vets cost money because they generally know what they are talking about and they have to run tests, and do bloodwork. Chances are good your cat has a low-lying urinary tract infection which is why she doesn't use the litter pan. She is trying to get your attention and she has. Now, you need to step up to the plate and take her in. I deal with feral cats all the time, and only one has ever bit and scratched a vet, and he still works with her to this day without sedation. Perhaps you need to find a new vet?
