The antibiotics may be making you nauseous. When I was on Augmentin for a sinus infection it was rough on my stomach. Taking it with yougurt with active acidophilous cultures helped that (as well as helping reduce the chance of getting a yeast infection). Also, painkillers like Naproxen and Ibuprofen can cause stomach pain/nausea. I'm sure a pharmacist would be able to answer any questions.

THANKS for asking!!!!!!!!!!!

I am hanging in there BARELY..
I AM improving somewhat but I think I overdid it today- had to come to work today to work on TWO IMPORTANT presentations which will be TOMORROW. I am ALMOST done with one presentation and will work on the 2nd one at home tonite so I am going to wrap it up and go home EARLY. First thing I do when I get home. TAKE A PAINKILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boss is GREAT- kept asking me all day today if I was okay and kept telling me to go home. He told me after I do my presentations for tomorrow to NOT COME BACK TO WORK! I told him the last presentation will be over by noon or 1 so I still can come in to work tmr afternoon and he shook his head and said NO go home!

I am normally okay with presentations but I am MORE NERVOUS about these presentations because I'm not sure how it'll go with my hand since my hand is still giving me problems and I have to sign my presentation (I am deaf and communicate via American Sign Language).

LOL. I have a hard time remembing British sign language myself!
You have to use both hands for BSL where with ASL, only one hand is used for the alphabet.
Shows Americans can be lazy? haha..

I remember there was a big deaf conference a couple years ago and I had a deaf visitor from England staying at my place. We managed to communicate and I was surprised to see some signs that are used over there. I think I have forgotten most of the BSL signs that I've learned!

Get lots of rest tonight...I can tell you are going to tough this out, but think two presentations on that sore hand are going to be a bit much! I'm glad your boss is insisting you go home tomorrow, after the presentations are done.

Yeah, I am concerned about that too. I already tried to find a co worker to do one presentation but have had no luck so far.. I'll live. I THINK!

That's an important word to know!
Mine was MILK!

ALL my co workers know sign language-it's required.. Does that give u an hint of where I'm working?

I really have no choice about doing 2 presentations but I am thinking positive.. Thanks for the concern..

I'm just catching up with this. My dad had cellulitis in his leg a few years ago, and was in a lot of pain, but luckily it cleared up quickly. As far as your presentations are concerned - if you can't do it, don't! Or just explain the situation, and do the best you can.
I'm familiar with your ER situation. I'm still officially "hearing impaired", rather than totally deaf, and never learned to sign. The last time I had to go to the ER, I got a doctor who kept turning her face away from me. After a few minutes of that, I told her she'd have to write everything down for me to read, or get somebody in the room who would look me in the face and repeat everything she said. I was really p.o.'d. She'd shooed my husband out of the room, even though he'd told her that he should be present to "interpret". I really would expect hospital personnel to be a little bit more forthcoming. I'm a teacher, and have new students every semester. Within a few days, all the kids know that they have to keep their heads up when they address me (and realize that I "hear" what's being whispered in the back row). It took Jamie about a day and a half to realize that he had to turn up the volume or pat me to get my attention, so I sometimes think animals are more in touch with reality than some people. Sorry for the rant.

Jamie,
I'm real glad to hear that ur dad's cellulitis cleared up quickly! I would hate to think that he suffered LONG with that! Actually no one should go thru that!

Well, I COULD tell them that I couldn't do it but I'd feel so GUILTY! I HATE backing out of committments and always try my best to keep my committments. I really think I can make it thru 2 presentations. I'll just rest more afterward.

Thank u for ur support regarding the ER... It helps to know I am not the only person who struggles with situations such as this. Most of the time, it doesn't bother me how people behaves toward me being deaf but THIS TIME... I was real p.o.'d at the ER dr myself. It was IMPOSSIBLE to lipread her cuz she BARELY MOVED her lips!!!!!
I was TEMPTED to ask her if she had her lips sewn shut!
It is also frustrating that ppl don't realize OR care (depending on who) that they need to be more forthcoming.. After the Dr told me what I had and that she'd give me rx, she started leaving. I stopped her and asked if I was to follow her or stay and she said "stay" so I stayed... I sat for over 15 minutes waiting for her to come back! I finally went out in the hall and asked a nurse what was going on and she said "Oh, the Dr is done with u." I COULDN'T believe it!
It would've taken her ONE minute to write that she was leaving and that the nurse would be with me in a minute!

I have some funny stories regarding me being deaf and how people acted..
Most of the time, I enjoy being deaf.

I KNOW what u mean about animals being in touch with reality more and agree!!! Especially cats.
