Ok, first off I want to say that I KNOW that there are bad drivers of *all ages*. On Tuesday, I had to go to my old university to straighten out some paperwork. It's about a 4 hour round trip and in those 4 short hours I *narrowly* avoided being hit by TWO elderly drivers. One of these close calls was on the interstate going 75 mph and I was ran over into the median. I almost pissed my pants. I'm sorry but I think at a certain age, elderly drivers should be re-tested every year. The ones who are able to drive should have that privlege (it IS a privlege, not a right) I know everyone loses their driving ability at different ages but some of the elderly have no business behind the wheel of a car. What really ticks me off is that senior retesting will never be a reality. It will never happen.
