Today marks 1 year from when Sasha was mauled by the coyote in our pumpkin patch the night of May 18. I wanted to thank everyone on this Board in the past year for still caring about him, asking about him, and acknowleging the very special coyote-clubber who fought so hard against being taken.
Today is also the day SiSi, his mama, disappeared 2 years ago so May 18 is a very powerful day in our house. Sasha recovered 100% and was not brain-damaged. He learned to re-use his severed tongue and is doing great!
This is just a very heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone on this particular Board who continues to ask about him and care. You guys are the best.
THANK YOU HEALTH & NUTRITION FORUM!!!!!!!

Love,
Elizabeth

yes a year, I can't believe it! He came in right on time at 9 pm curfew, even though it is still light to almost 10 now, it's hard for him when he sees the light. He'll lurk around the sliding doors and talk about going out but I say, "No, honey, inside time. It's Inside Time now" and he calms down and finds a place to snuggle for the night, usually on our bed. Last night I had both Saba and Sasha together on the bed, we had thunderstorms, and no coyotes about. So uneventful, I loved it! I told him I loved him so very much and his healthy face blinked and purred at me. All is good in the world.

Eddie, I remember too well the initial thread! My heart was in knots for you and your boy, and I hung on to every word in that thread. It thrills me to the bone that he is so happy and healthy! I knew it was coming up on a year, because I remember it happened right before I lost Tank (that one year is on the 24th of this month
).

I am glad your family of five (a house of five now, wow!) had a calm, loving night last night. You all deserve it!

As for SiSi
, you know that you have your loving angel keeping watch over you and your family at all times. I know from the way you speak of her that she was very very special to you, and I still pray for the complete healing of your broken heart regarding her. I can't even imagine what it's like to not have complete closure. But you are strong, honey, and it just helped you love what you have harder!

Bless that Sasha boy and everything he has brought into your life!
