Lunchtime conversation

Cats came up during lunch today at work. My boss likes to talk about her "boys" and I'm always glad to chime about my kitties.. One of the guys mentioned that he and his wife like to sit at the window sometimes and fire their bee bee gun at squirrels, birds and the neighbors cat. He claimed they're not really aiming for the animals, but just the ground close by. He and one of the other guys thought this was hilarious. I told him I'd like point a bee bee gun in his direction and he shut up.

Isn't it suprising how many peoples brains are in their pants!!

What a great comeback! It seems like some people never surpass a 10 year old's maturity level.

It's horrible that there are still people out there that think cruelty to animals is funny. It's cruel even if they don't actually hit the animals for all the stress it causes. He can't be very bright either, saying that in front of the boss when she is a cat lover!

Stuff a bee bee gun, not strong enough! If I ever caught anyone pointing anything at my cats (other than a finger!) I'd snap it and/or wrap it around their neck.

Firstly, let me say how much I agree with you.

Secondly, I have to tell you what beautiful cats you have. Real heart stealers!

Thank you Yosemite! Bijou is such a pretty kitty too! Such an expressive face! Their foster mom called them Luke and Lily, but we think we have finally decided to call them Blossom and Billy. Blossom is always sitting looking at her brother, who is looking for trouble!

I love the names Blossom and Billy.

Where in Canada is your husband from?

Not to get off the subject, but yes, your kitties are adorable. They're just gorgeous. And I think that anyone who shoots at cats (or any animal) with a bee bee gun should be taken out back and shot (with whatever the shooter chooses.)

Awww thanks! I love my kitties so much! These are the first compliments Ive gotten on them--though my husband and I tell them how gorgeous they are all the time! He is from Toronto, but we live in NC now--he is starting to learn about heat!

Blossom is such a girl--small and delicate, loves my clothes and the mirror; Billy is always looking for playtime and mischief! So cute!

personally I would find out where they lived (do so by looking them up in the phone book) and find their neighbors and let them know. I sure as hell would want to know if someone was shooting bb's at my cat. That way I could personally show them what I think of them. If nothing else they could call the police and report animal cruelty. cause that is what it is.

Boy when I hear people talk like that, I get so mad, I could do them physical harm with no problem. What is funny about scarying anything??? God forbid harming them???

I'm going to do this! It's not the first time this guy has joked about cruelty to animals and I wish I would taken a stronger stance before now. It takes a really ignorant, sick individual to think it's funny!
