Okay... so hubby and I went to circut city sat. I was able to upgrade my cell phone and I was so excited. Well it turned out the sales rep. couldn't access my account through the store (we moved from vt to ky and its a different system). So she said call cust. service. So I did. Well they could only renew my contract one year but I wanted the two year becuase my phone would cost A LOT less that way (why do I want to spend $100 on a phone?). So then cust. service says I have to go to an actual Verizon Wireless store and have them call COOS and they will be able to work things out. So hubby and I drive 30 minutes to the nearest store. They tried telling me that they weren't able to do that. I made 'noise'. They called. Ends up the COOS sends a contract via fax to the store. Hubby has to fill it out since I'm only secondary on the account. The store was supposed to fax it back and I was supposed to get a phone call within 24 hours to verify the phone I was ordering and they were going to mail it out to me. Okay so 24 hours pass... I call Cust service AGAIN. Oh well they never recieved the fax back!!!! Now I have to wait until 830 to call the local store (30 min away local) and make some more noise. I'm so ticked. If my phone wasn't broken I'd just deal with it but well I need a new phone!!!!

Ugh, how annoying! I can totally understand your frustration. Brendan used to work at Radio Shack where they sold Sprint and Verizon phones and actually now works at Circuit City (though he works in entertainment) and he was always talking about what a pain it was to deal with Verizon. That they would mess things up and people would always come in to Radio Shack complaining about something that Verizon themselves had messed up. Sometimes cell phones can just be SUCH a pain!!! Hope it all works out for you.

I almost feel bad for the store. I called the cust service called then they had to call them back again lol... then the lady in cust service had to call the Vermont reigonal office... she's putting in a lot of foot work. I'm glad I got to deal with someone nice.

I was thinking about that fran. Honestly I think the guy didn't fax the paperwork because since I'm not in his reigon he wasn't going to get the commission of signing me back up for 2 years. I was low on the priority list.

The subject is telephones, and someone said something about a baseball bat, and I was reminded of something I said in the heat of frustration after being mistakenly called umpteen times for a laundry and dry cleaning establishment.

Caller: "Hello, is this Ajax Cleaners ?"

Me: "Yes, and congratulations for being the five thousandth customer to call this month, and in celebration of Baseball Appreciation Month, if you can show up here in less than an hour with a baseball bat and answer the question of how many strikes make an out, then you will win $1,000 ! !"

Sitting and thinking of how sweet revenge was, my wife was giving me "what for", and asked if I had any idea of what a person with a ball bat was likely to do when they didn't get their $1,000.

I replied, "Yeah, I think I'll go watch !"

She was furious with me (and rightly so) and called the police and told them to dispatch a car to the laundry, as a threat had been made.

Beth I feel you pain. I spent 2 hours on the phone with verizon wireless customer service last night. It was awful
I'm having issues with a bunch of things and they keep sending me to the store who sends me away and then I call again and they send me to the store, etc.

If you have the time, go to the actual Verizon Wireless store (not something in radio shack or Circut City) and have them call COOS in the store. Let them know the problems and all together work something out. That's what I had to do anyway.
