Bridal Tea, anyone?

We catered a bridal tea yesterday at one of our local churches. Normally the menu includes more things, like fresh fruit, fresh veggies and such, but all these ladies wanted were petit fours, cheese straws, orange rolls, chicken salad croissants and punch......here are a handfull of pics!

Cindy,e verything looks great! I am with Sandra though. What are cheese stacks? They look delicious, as does everything!

Sandra and Susie....cheese straws are more or less a cheese "cracker" , made with cheese, flour, and I forget what else, sometimes plain, sometimes sprinkled with flavored powders like garlic and such, hub sprinkles his with red pepper, not too hot, just a little "bite" to them. Nice and crispy and cheesy!

Hmmm, Fran, lets see.....

Petit fours are basically a type of sponge cake, with a very firm, cooked sugar icing

Cheese straws taste a lot like Goldfish

Orange rolls are simply bread dough, rolled thin, spread with a mix of orange zest, butter and sugar, then rolled up, sliced and cooked like cinnamon rolls

Chick salad is just boiled chicken/pickle relish/boiled egss/mayo, in a fresh baked croissant
