LILO had her babies.
I got home tonight around 9:30 and went in my room to change my clothes for bed and I heard babies.

So I looked and looked and found her under my bed with ...... guess how many...... 7 BABY KITTIES!!!!

I guess I should be

LOL But I am happy. I did get the clothes basket and put LILO in there with her babies and moved her to the place I set up for her. She so far seems very happy. She was purring galore when I found her. She is skinny now!! hehe
So used to seeing that big belly!!

Everything was so clean. NO mess on the floor. NOTHING. Just Lilo and her 7 babies. A little water mixed with very little light pink blood on the carpet but was even easy to get out.
She did a great job all by herself.

Doesnt cats only have 6 boobies? If so will one of them die from not eating?
Also, her boobies are not very big like I thought they should be. Is that ok?

Thanks
Sarah
I am so proud of her. I even told her so.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Actually, I have seen cat with eight nipples. But, I can only count 6 on CJ. I don't know how many they're supposed to have. As for the largeness of them, I don't know. And, if you think that one is not getting enough nutrition, you should immediately bottle feed it. You might even want to go down and get some formula and a bottle just to keep handy... just in case.

Good luck with your babies!!!

Congrats!

It is always better be prepared and not need it, then to be unprepared and need it!

Most female cats have 8 nipples, two of them are between their upper arms. They're kind of hidden, but they are there!
Congrats on the new kittens!

Oh yes... That is what her vet told me just now.
I looked as soon as I got home close to her pits (arm pits) and found 2 more....

All 7 babies are fat ...

That is good though I guess. They hardly ever cry. But the vet said that is a good sign the eat enough and are warm enough.

2 are black and white and 5 are dark grey just like my LILO and one of the dads. One of the dads looks just like my LILO except he has a no tail. And another boy cat that was hangin around is black and white. So I guess those are the 2 dads.

Jeepers 7 kittens? That will be quite a handful at 6 weeks when they like to tear through everything! I'm glad to hear you have such a wonderful mom for them...tell her to keep up the good work!

That is what i thought!!!

7 kittens is not quite the "norm" or is it?

I will have my hands full for sure... but I can just imagine now all the laughs they will give me!!!
Oh and LILO says "meow meow meowwwww" (I think means thank you, for saying she is a good mom)

How exciting!!! I hope you get used to counting to seven. Because that's all I do. Count them every time.

OK, who's missing?

It may be even worse than having to keep track of "real" kids.

Just wait til they get older! Mine are 5 weeks 3 days old, and they're already a handful! Well... Elle isn't really, because of her condition, but Mirah is a little brat! It's so weird, too! Everytime I play with her, pick her up, or watch her, she reminds me so much of her daddy! Every characteristic, every mannerism, everything is just like Billy! It's weird! LOL! Hopefully, she won't inherit his ability to attack humans!

hehe.....

That is cute!!
I am just so excited!!
Everyone (just about) thinks I am nuts b/c I love these babies.
I feel like a grandma.
And I just couldn't ask LILO (as if I really could) to be a better momma. She is doing great. She is wonderful.

I will post pics of the new ones really soon.
Also, is it too soon to tell boy or girl? I haven't tried yet.

Ummm, you can try to see the gender, but just don't be surprised if they decide to have a sex change! LOL! I thought Elle was a boy for the longest time!

Really???

Well... I have another question.... 1 of the kittens was all by itself when I went to check on them. I picked "him" up and he was cold. I pu thim next to me and tried warming him up. Then I put him next to his siblings. I noticed that he seems to not have very much control over his body. Where the other kittens can snuggle... he cant. His body is just stretched out all the time. And he just flops over on his back. He is thinner than the rest of them. I am worried about him. Is he the runt? Is that what is wrong with him? What can I do?Everyone tells me that it is normal for 1 or 2 to die. But I WILL NOT let ANY of my babies to die. Any advice?

That's the same thing that happened when Limeny died. I don't know what to tell you. Chances are, if you bring "him" to a vet, they won't be able to do anything for you, but I don't know. All I know is that's how my two day old kitten died. If he's cold, you definitely need to try to get him warm. However, I couldn't with my little guy, and if you can't, you might want to prepare for the worst. I'm sorry, I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. Maybe you will be able to get him warm, though, so all I can say is to try your best.
I'll pray for him!

lol I think my baby is in labor right now... she won't let me out of her sight right now... and for the record, all cats have 8 nipples, even males. I think my baby only has 2 or 3 because she didn't get that big...

Well... I woke up this morning and "he" has passed.

I think she seperated him from the others b/c he was on the other side where she lays. And when I felt him he felt very warm but she had just gotten up from there. I think she moved him under her to seperate him from the rest. She knows he is gone though. I can see it in her eyes. She will be ok though. Just like me. I promised myself I wouldn't lose any. 7 is my lucky number.

But now it will have to be 6.
RIP... I will name him "Angel" but in spanish it can be for a boy too. Because I know he is flying with the "Angels"
but

I'm sorry that you lost him. Limeny died of the same thing. I know it's completely hard, but it's better than him to expirience life, then die, then to be so little, and pass on.
I'm here for you if you need me.
