This was a good question. How would you answer it?

I was talking to a friend who was taking a survey in a magazine, and in it was the question: Describe yourself as if you were looking for someone just like you.

HUmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................

Well, I pity the person who is just like me!
Awww, I guess I'm not that bad a person. I come from a family of 5 children, being the youngest. I was spoiled as a child, but as I grew, I realized that was special, and not for everyday life. Although I have several really good friends, for the most part, I am a loner. Most of my adult life I have been single and learned to do alot by myself since my friends were mostly married and busy with thier families. I have never liked bars or wild nightlife. I think I turned into a fuddy duddy around the age of 25! LOL But a fuddy duddy is what I like. Not a boring one though. There is a difference. I love working around my home, traveling and I feel that laughing is most important. I like going to the Amish country we have here in Ohio and browsing their shops. I love my cats beyond belief and although love other people's children, have chosen not to have any of my own. I would live by the ocean if I could. Just mesmerizing to me. I consider myself a good, honest, decent, moral person who has an ornery streak that shocks most people! All in all, I like myself. I guess by the time you hit my age, 41, if you can say that, I must be doing something right.

You know, Susie, I feel the same. It took me a long time to get comfortable inside my own skin...about age 35 or so. But if I needed to pick one word, probably: resilient. I've been through so much in my younger life that I really like to surround myself with people who are positive and can roll with the punches a bit. I don't hold grudges, I'm adventurous and outdoorsy, I love humor and tend to move forward in life. No daily drama. I'm sincere and I say what I mean and I do what I say.

I think you do a TON of stuff right, missy!!!

WEll, for starters, if someone gave me $5,000 to buy clothes, I'd pay someone else $1,000 of it to shop for me since I lack that female "shopping gene".
I love to read, and get information, so I watch alternative TV (FreeSpeech, World Link) as well as mainstream media, CSpan, RFD-TV. Because I was a waiter for 15 years, I learned to cook well since I will serve only attractive, tasty food
I love my cats
and other pets; I feel most comfortable with animals & a few friends. My heart needs mountains & lots of open, public-use land. I love to gather fuel wood; I get great satisfaction seeing my kitties enjoying the warmth from a fire that I've provided, while I cook on the woodburner. I have trouble keeping my mouth shut around rude people
; I love to make other people feel good about themselves, esp. children, mommies & the elderly. I still like to play & frolic & check out neat stuff, like insects, weather, etc. (thank goodness I have a 9 year old grandson since I'm almost 49) I think guys are cool, because I have such awesome brothers and I LOVE TCS & all the great cat-lovers who daily renew my faith in humanity!
And thanks for a great question - I hope that this gets more response, because I can hardly wait to see other replies! Susan

OK, I will give it a go. I am a outgoing sort, I like to spend my time reading, gardening, walking, and being with my family, my cats and dogs are included in the definition of family. I like to have morning coffee and a chat with my friends a couple times a fortnight. I still dont know what my ideal job is so I am back at school again, studying to be a receptionist in a doctors surgery.I dont have much clothes sense most of my wardrobe is black pants and teeshirts.Think I would like a make over.I would do you a good turn before a bad turn. I do volunteer work and love to help people. I would never be gruel to an animal and I usually end up with other peoples animals that they dont want. All in all I just want to love my family and be loved by them. Iam grateful for everything in my life.

Hmmm...you're right Susie, this is an interesting question! Let's see if I can answer it.

Generally, I'm a very happy and bubbly person; though when I feel passionately about something I become terribly stubborn and dogmatic. I have a great talent for talking through anything. If you give me the chance I can convince you of just about anything, though I never use this ability to mess with people. It really comes in handy when there are disagreements or when I'm attempting to get my parents to see things my way. Right now my life feels very confusing to me and up in the air due to the simple fact of being 22, applying to grad school, and wondering what my future holds for me. My family is incredibly important to me and we're very close knit, even my brother who is 8 years older than me is one of my best buddies. I think I'd have a very hard time moving far away from them. I love my life for the most part and feel that I'm heading in the right direction. I tend to have a closer knit group of friends, a boyfriend who seems to know more about me than I do, and a great desire to travel. I'm generally optimistic and am very excited to see what life holds for me. I guess that's about it.

These are so interesting!

I'll give it a go!

Having lost a lot of my extended family through various reasons, I hold on to my friends as they are the family you choose for yourself!
I don't have a great number friends my own age, but thoroughly love the company of all the people I meet. I will chat to anyone and love to smile at people - I feel a smile tells a thousand words and can spread joy when people pass it on! I love the simple things and crave community spirit, i'd love to live in a village by the sea. I love my cats and they have given me a new sense of life! I enjoy my art and aim to continue working with it! I have overcome a number of hurdles and am pleased to say that I have laughed and smiled throughout the whole process. At 23, I feel that I can bring joy with a smile and share my time with everyone and anyone, learning so much on the journey.

Hope that's ok!
