first peaches!

I justt learned from my local produce guy, that he will have his first freshpeaches here shortly! I can't wait.

I love this time of year for the produce etc.

You're kidding! Already? Man, I can't wait 'til our area comes in but if we don't get some rain here soon, the Chilton County Peach crop will not live up to expectations I regret to say .

I won't tell my husband. He absolutely LOVES Red Haven peaches. When they are in season here, he usually goes to the farmers market every saturday and grabs 2 or 3 baskets and eats them every day with LITRES of whipped cream. Yes, we have to special order LITRES of whipping cream in berry and peach season. He whips a bowl of cream and adds some fruit!

yes it's time, I actually got a couple of "early harvest" as they say, kinda tart but actually ok with ice cream.
