Ok.. I have a little bit of a dilemma on my hands and I just want to know what you would do if it were you in my situation...

There are two guys in the flat next door to me and their bedroom is next to mine (they are a couple)... On a few occasion's I have heard them in bed...they are very noisy

What do I do? As I am on talking terms with them, it's getting to the point where I am a little embarrassed....

I do not have issues with them being gay, as my sister is gay also. I just wonder if I should say something? I dread to think what will happen in the summer when ppl sleep with their windows open at night

If this is not the sort of topic I should post here, pls delete...

Maybe the next time they're "at it" you could turn some music up really loud so they'd hear it and perhaps get the message.

Oh no!!!!, theres nothing worse!

How friendly are you with them Gilly?, i mean could you say anything to them but saying it in a humorous way?, if that makes sense?.

Matt my nextdoor neighbour was going out with a "noisy" girlfriend once, and i said to him one day "Can she make herself known any louder?!"
He asked if i could hear? and i said " Well i never used to until you started going out with her!".

Anyway she's been binned and he's with someone else now and you can't hear a squeek!

It may be their own apartment, but your neighbours have to realise that rooms don't have sound proofing when in the throws of passion!.

If you're really friendly with either of them, you might just tell them that you can hear their bedroom activities. Most gay guys are really good natured about things like that, at least the one's I know are.

I think I might try the music idea
and will also speak to my neighbour downstairs and tell her the situ. just in case she hears my music come on really loud or something.

But then again, I might speak to them.... they are always hanging washing out (really neatly too) so I could say something then....

Gilly they'll be more embarrassed if they knew you can hear their bedroom gymnastics if thats what your wondering
so i wouldn't worry there.

They'd be paranoid if anything!

Lol Gilly.. the people downstairs can hear us walk, talk and anything :p we have screaming matches at each other if teufel runs around the house.
So i presume they can hear OUR bedroom duties pretty well

But they havent mentioned a word ....

Maybe you could say something along the lines of "You know, these walls sure are thin aren't they? You can hear EVERYthing!
" along with a "wink, wink, nudge, nudge."

Ok having read all of your replies and chatted with my mum as well, I have thought about it all. I am going to hint to them! What I will do is wait until the next time that I hear them (and I hope that it is NOT too soon) and then casually over the garden fence one day just say something about.... how old the buildings are, how thin some of the walls are and then see if they get the drift!
My mum thinks that I should bang on the wall to disturb them!

Better still, get Fwan to come across and she'll soon tell them for you!
I thought i was one for not sitting on the fence if anything had to be said but she's worse than me!!

That would be sooooooo embarassing!!!!

I think a subtle hint would be the best way to deal with it. Good luck!!! I'm sure it will feel akward but once its over its over. I'm sure they wouldn't be too keen hearing what goes on in your place. If you've chatted with them a few times I'm sure you have a feel as to how things will go.

Suddenly I 've very thankful that the apartments I live in the bedrooms are situtated so they have anything on other side. I don't know what I'd do...probably turn up the music really loud or invite a partner over and be loud myself...that would pry get the idea across fairly quickly.

LOL, the apartment we lived in right before moving to this house had a "loud"
girl living below us.

The week before our move, she woke me up about 2 or 3 times...I was half tempted to leave her a note saying "that's great that you love your boyfriend and feel the need to tell the whole world...but please, not at 3 in the morning."
