New Mother Delivering Kittens..Help!!!

My Mama Cat has just started to have her Kittens..This is her 1st litter and she has No Idea...The 1st kitten has been born and she has washed it but wants nothing to do with the afterbirth.....
..So what should I do?.......
Please help....I,m sure I will have more ???? as she delivers more.....

Good thread. FYI: Our cat Pepsi had five kittens two weeks ago, and she only ate one of the afterbirths. I was a little worried about that, but she's a very good mommy. Maybe she was too tired or too busy.

basically all the afterbirth does anyways is provide momma with some extra nutrients to help her push all the kittens out and to produce the first milk for them. She doesnt absolutely have to eat them, it just gives her a bit of a charge so she is not so tired after birthing.
