There are some things that just cannot be done at the same time. This is different from things that CAN be done but SHOULDN'T at the same time like brushing your teeth while driving a car or reading while walking. But there are some things are just nearly impossible to do simultaneously.

I discovered a new one (for me) today - knitting and watching foreign movies with sub-titles. I know there are probably some out there who can knit without looking at their hands, but I'm a beginner.

What are some things that you find you can't do at the same time?
And while we're at it, what are some things that you do well at the same time?

It's been proven that women are the best at multi-tasking than men.
One thing I cannot do is watch tv or a movie and NOT do something else. I have to be reading a magazine or doing a crossword puzzle at the same time. Drives Bradley nuts!

No, its really not. It is a little tricky until you get the hang of it. My mother-in-law taught me this past winter. There are really only two steps to learn: knitting and purling. If there's a good yarn-shop or craft store in your area I bet someone there would be happy to teach you. I tried to figure it out on my own by looking at books, but there's no substitute for a hands-on lesson.

hehe
My boss caught me on the internet at work the other day. I said to him not to worry because I can multi-task. I then went on to explain that I can surf the net, chat on the phone and do other work at the same time.

Really I can
