Do cats continue to spray after they are neutered? My cat (male) about 1year old has been marking his spots all around my place and I'm in the process of trying to get money to get him neutered. Also does anyone know a place where there is low cost neuter service around Buffalo NY? Everywhere I call says I need a benefits card which is food stamps ect to prove they have low income. I'm a college student and I don't have that kind of stuff. Any help would be great!

Meowhoo.com You can find several listings here to help. And yes, male cats can spray after they are neutered, but at least it won't reek like it does now. It doesn't always happen, but it can especially if the cat is allowed to mate before the neuter.

The cat should be neutered before he starts spraying, then, most likely, he won't spray. Since your cat already started spraying, and you haven't neutered him yet, it's hard to say if he will continue or not once he is neutered.

What do you mean by it won't reek like it does now? Sorry I am a first timer going through this kind of stuff. All I know is he's horny all of a sudden, I guess it's just that time, and he's starting to mark his territory by spraying and he hasn't does this before. He started when his "horniness"
started so I am associating it with that. I can see my security deposit flying out the window due to his markings. Also any idea how to prevent it spraying? I'm moving to a new apartment in a few weeks and i'm hoping he doesn't go around marking his spots everywhere. Any help is great! Thanks
