Well, actually it's shipped to your vet (or clinic)
!

Katie, that black stud looks a lot like the one I had picked out for Petra way back when, but getting her to him was going to be problematical and this was when the shipped semen route was just getting started. At that point most registries (with the exception of Thoroughbred) didn't accept foals conceived through AI but live cover only. Some would make exceptions if the stud was on the premises but that didn't make much difference in shipping a mare! It doesn't say and I can't tell for sure, is Desparado a true black and not just a very dark chestnut? What color is Kiss? Hopefully you'll have a good chance of getting a black foal, althugh it's going to be gorgeous regardless!

Always wanted a black Arab. I guess it's from reading "The Black Stallion" when I was a kid!

Congratulations on your new mare arriving, and
that stallion is gorgeous! I wish you a lovely foal as the result of his date with Vixen.

LOL, it usually goes to your vet clinic where your mare is to await it, lol. I am old fashioned. I do live cover only..of course if someone were gonna send some shipper Alada Baskin stuffs I wouldnyt say no lol

Congrats on your new Mare. When read the title of this thread, I thought you were referring to my favourite Rock band, Kiss.

Wow!! I just clicked on the link and checked out the horse. She looks like an Arabian Stallion to me. I've always wanted to own an Arabian. I think Arabian's and Morgans are the most beautiful horses. My parents had American Saddle Bred horses when I was a kid. I am sooo jealous.
