Hi All: I joined yesterday to the Health and Nutrition web site. I wanted to write on this one to introduce myself and my 7 kitties. I have always had kitties--grew up with kitties, and as soon as I got my own place, I adopted/rescued a brother and sister from the entry of an apartment complex. Princess and Phillip were my babies. They lived very long loved lives. Phillip got cancer at 14 and lived only a few months. His sister, Princess, lived to 18 1/2! A few months later, my fiance initiated a new adoption. I was not sure I was ready, until I saw the picture of the two kitties--a boy and girl--both rescued from a hog farm on the coast of NC. At that moment, I knew I was ready to love new babies. We adopted Dennis and Trisha from the Animal Compassion Network. They were best friends, and it was the hope of the foster Mom that they were adopted together. I was looking for a boy and girl--so it was a perfect match. This was last april 2004. In September 2004 my fiance and I attended the fair, and came across a pile of kitties -- about 6-8 weeks old--being indiscriminately given away. It plagued me, and before the evening was over, we came back and adopted all 5 of them! It was our intention to foster and adopt them out--but we fell in love, and now we are the proud parents of 7 wonderful, loved, and adorable kitties. I never would have imagined having 7--but here we are--and we love it!! The full crew's names are: Trisha, Dennis (the originals), and the 5 kittens (1 year in July): Bobby, Blue, Tabitha, Samantha, Lady Bug.
So that is my kitty story. I can always add more info later!
