Hi I'm Sara. I live in MI. 35 yrs old, married, and two children. Posting a pic of Jimmy our little furbaby. My husband is allergic, but our house is large enough and I am a fanatic about vacuuming and somehow we get by without him suffering too badly.

Jimmy is indoor only, but loves to camp out on the windows.

We picked him up via a roadside "free kittens" sign.
The people had the mother cat and kittens outside and they were so flea infested. I handpicked fleas off this poor little love for what felt like weeks. He's well loved and I'm so glad he's a a part of our family. My children adore him.

Thank you for the warm welcome and the kind words.
Jimmy is a pretty special guy over here. I had some kitty related questions, but found they were already covered in sticky posts.

Last week, my son who is 5 decides he wants Jimmy to have another name. He's now called Jimmy Gilbert by my kids. My kids enjoy the cartoon Caillou and his cat is named Gilbert. Soooo, if from time to time I say JG referring to Jimmy, it's not a new baby...just same ole Jimmy. lol

Jimmy sleeps with my son each night and I just think it's the cutest thing. Jimmy is a real talker which I missed in the years I didn't have a kitty. Years ago I had Maine Coon and lost him in a breakup. When I married, having my hubby allergic I didn't want to even ask if he could handle a new kitty and plus I was still heartbroken over losing my baby to my exbf too.

When hubby suggested we "look" at the kittens from the roadside sign, I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was.

At any rate, we make a lot of silly Jimmy jokes. (Seinfeld episodes) But, we love him to pieces.

It feels so good knowing how sad of a life he may have had otherwise and when I see him camped out next to my son, it's just a beautiful thing.
