My niece's poor kitty!!!

My older niece was kind enough to give me and Chuckie a ride to the vet yesterday and when she got home she found her kitty Sable limping (that's the kitty I raised last summer) so she took him straight to the vet and his poor little leg is broken! It's on his right front leg and it's the bone that curves out (don't know thw name of that bone) it snaped in a jagged fashion too.

Poor baby! I feel somewhat guilty because if she hadn't driven me to the vet she may have been there to help him from what ever caused him to break his leg. It's a mystery as to what happened. They have a dog but the vet doesn't think it's from the dog because there are no marks to indicate such a thing happened.

She picked him up this morning and stopped by to pick up a large dog crate we've had sitting in the garage so she can keep him in there when she is out to keep him from further injury. He has a cast from the top of his leg on down, he goes back to be checked next Tuesday.

My brother took a few pics of him in his carrier, so I'll try to post pics so you can see his cast.

Yes, his cast is green with black spots (I think the black spot were maybe hearts or pawprints)

awww..that poor sweetie!! I am wondering if they will put a cast on Ash after his surgery...((hugs))

Here's a pic of his cast. (I was wrong...the black spots are stars ) This pic was taken outside, you can't see his face because he was busy watching our neighbor across the street.

Oh, Sable, you poor, sweet little boy! Awww, Diane, please give Sable gentle kisses from Sierra and me, and tell him we're praying that his precious little leg is all better very soon! Please do keep us updated how he's feeling!

Tell your neice not to feel bad!, accidents happen, and the good thing is he'll be back to normal before you know it!

My niece say he seems to be adjusting to the cast and actually made it up onto her bed last night. But he's having trouble in the litter (because he can't dig) and can't reach to clean himself, so I gave her these cat wipes I had laying around that way she can wipe him down a bit.

That is a cute cast though!

I think Sable is adjusting a bit more to the cast. My niece told me yesterday that he finally let her pet him without him glaring at her, he actually started purring! I guess he's forgiven her...but he has to be rechecked at the vet again tomorrow so he'll probably get angry again!
