I know, it was a lot of pictures. They sort of piled up and I finally got around to putting them in galleries. That is my back yard. I live rather remote on a mountain. Fluffy. Brother. and Tuck like to go for walks in the surrounding woods. Those three are good about staying with me. Starburst used to like to go for walks too, but she must have gotten frightened by something as she just wants to stay in the house with others these days.

And just for ask... .. do you have a photo where your lovely kitties are sleeping all together? .. A pile of Cats!!! What terrific Idea! ..

Actually the cats are in two groups. So all ten would not be together. Patch Jade and Callie are one group and the other seven form another group. All seven do lay on their large cat tree at one time (each has his or her own little hammock), but when they sleep they usually split off into little groups of two or three.

Patch and Jade were both very tame when they showed up and moved inside immediately. Since I got Callie as a young kitten she immediately moved in with Patch and Jade.

The other cats were either feral born or very frightened strays that needed to be socialized slowly. They were essentially lured into the garage for food as they showed up. Our house is large and on three levels. Kathy and I live in the upper two levels, The lower level is like its own apartment and Patch, Jade, and Callie essentially have it as their own. I have had many comments from friends that my cats own a better home than they do.

The garage is connected to the main part of the house and as the other cats tamed, they were allowed more freedom in the main house. While they still consider the garage their main base, they freely run between the house and the garage much of the time. The garage is basically a cattery. We have put screens over the doors so they can now be openned to make it like a large screened in porch and the cats can still be confined.

I would have a hard time blending the two groups as Patch and Fluffy do not like each other. Each is the dominent tom of his family and while both are neutered, both want to be top cat.

My life is a bit unique. I am semi retired. I work out of town for two weeks at a time followed by two weeks off. Callie, Patch, and Jade travel with me when I work out of town. That way Kathy does not have to deal with all ten on her own. They actually prefer the small house I have in the town where I work as they do not have to share me with the other seven.

Thanks. As you can see I take lots of pictures of them so there will definitely be more to come in the future.

fluffy is camoflouged! is that a pink couch in your house? i want a pink couch! my husband would never go for that though!

No, it is just a bedspread thrown over the couch to protect it from kitty claws.
