I'm the same way! I usually have bad dreams about things happening to the kitties when I'm stressed about work or something else, and I always have to wake my poor husband up and tell him about it!
Glad to know I'm not the only one: and good vibes for miss Sophie

Aw, sending lots of
for Sophie and tons of
for her mum. I hope everything goes smooth and that you can find a way to calm yourself while she's there. I think the trip to the vet is harder for us than them

for Sophie! I'm sure she'll be fine, Susan. I usually have nightmares before I take Jamie to the vets', but that's because he really is a "h**llcat" with the vets and assistants, and wails the whole time in the car.

Were back!

Everything is fine!

When i took her for her 6 months post spay check up 2 months ago, they told me she weighed 10lb and should be 8lb, so i measured her food as they said, but they weighed her tonight and she's put 1oz on!!!

I know it's not much but i can only think that she's been eating most of the kibbles that i weigh out in the morning and leave in one bowl in their room when i'm at work?!.

So the vet said i only feed them twice a day now, and no free feeding unless i want problems later on, which obviously i don't

Deep joy!, wait until Rosie goes next month for her yearly check up and get's on the scales

I am so glad that Sophie is OK & back home with Sweet Rosie. I know that you will sleep much better tonight & have lots of good dreams about your adorable Smudge Sisters.

i some how missed this thread earlier.

i'm glad sophie's ok.
Maverick sulks for ages after a vet treatment and cries all night to punish me after.

i think it must have been that birthday steak which made her put on the extra weight!

No their not but i'm thinking about it?.

I give them Purina One kibbles but i can't find any light?. Failing that i may have to switch them on to the Science Plan light which i can only get at my vets which is pricey, but if it has to be?!

I have not been able to find that Purina One in light either
I don't know if they do it in light come to think of it.

I tried Guin on that science plan from thet vets and he hated it... he would just sniff and walk away lol

Now i'm thinking instead of just giving them 2 meals a day, to split them into 3?.

It's just i hate the thought of them having nothing until i get home from work
Even if it's less kibbles that their on now during the day?.

Maybe that might work so that the day is not so long for them to be without food? Stick with it at the weekend as well so that they get into the routine. They might not even notice either. You could feed in the morning, then as soon as you get home then lastly before you go to bed?

This thread has got me thinking... cos Guin has free kibbles all day long. Maybe I should cut down on this just in case he gets chunkier?

Glad to hear that everything went fine at the vets. Mac has had weight issues off and on as well. We switched to a "light" formula food and he responded by loosing a few pounds. I'm surprised that your local grocery doesn't carry a light formula. It seems that every brand sold here has one. Good luck!
