Does anyone know if you can freeze treats? Like Beggin' Strips, Bacon Strips, Pup-peroni and such? Kellie gets a treat when she comes in from "tending to business" LOL, otherwise she dawdles like a 5 year old fascinated with dandelions, but she's only a 9# Pekingese and I just give her a little bit of a treat. Most of the bag will tend to dry out and is wasted. There's no such thing as a "little" bag of treats, it seems. I thought perhaps if I could divide a bag up and freeze it that it would be more economical, never mind preserving the freshness and the fact that I hate throwing the treats out.

Anyone tried this?

I would think you could.
Have you ever tried making your own liver treats? Very easy, you can freeze a big batch in small amounts..Just make them once a month or even every few months if you want.
And much better for them too

The only problem is the day you make them, you need to open your kitchen windows as the baking liver smells...

I might try that, although the little b*gger has a sensitive tummy. I always take her own food with her when she's boarded as she WILL get diarrhea if it's changed. One time when she was boarded at the vet's they didn't feed her her own food, and I had to bring the poor darling home and dunk her in a bucket
. Nowadays I would make THEM give her a bath
(the older I get the crankier I get.)

I know how that feels..

Well, I would think you could freeze her regular treats too.
I would use freezer bags and just take out what you need for the next day the night before..
